How do I deactivate members from the People tab?

How to Deactivate Members in the People Tab

When a team member's involvement in a project comes to an end and or they are no longer part of your organization, you can easily deactivate them from the People tab. This is a quick way to remove them from all rooms they are a member in, except for rooms they own.

If you are an admin, you can follow these steps to deactivate a user:
Go to the People tab from the left menu.
Hover over the member you'd like to disable. You might need to scroll right to view this section.
Click the Red deactivate button that appears.

Note: Disabled members will lose access to the rooms in your organization, except for the rooms they own.
Tip: To change the room owner, please refer to this article: How do I change the room owner?

To remove their information entirely, click the red Trash icon.

If they have no access to deals, the deactivate button will be grayed out.

Differentiating Between Rooms and Deals on the Contact Card

Clicking on a member's name in the People tab opens their contact card, revealing essential details about them. On the right-hand side, you'll find two distinct sections: Rooms and Deals.
Rooms: This section will list the rooms they are a member in.
Deals: Here, you'll find a list of deal cards on which they are designated as a contact.

For instance, this image demonstrates a contact linked to a deal card. While they might not be a part of the room, they are recorded as a contact for that specific deal.

By deactivating members and understanding their associations with rooms and deals, you can keep your workspace organized and focused. Should you have any inquiries or require assistance, feel free to reach out to our support team.
