How to Create a Pie Chart that shows Number of Requests by Status

A pie chart is an excellent way to visually represent the distribution of requests by their status. This type of chart helps you quickly assess which statuses are most common and identify bottlenecks or areas that need attention. For example, you can see at a glance if there are many requests stuck in pending status, enabling you to take action more efficiently.

Visualization Example:

Steps:

From the Explore menu, select Room Requests.
Under the the Deal option, add Deal Title as a filter by clicking on the filter icon next to the field and choose a room/deal you would like to check.
Under the Request Status option, add Name as a filter too and choose "Status Name is not null".

In the Fieldpicker pane, select the following fields:
Under the Request option, select Num of Requests.
Under the Request Status option, select Name.
Click the Run button at the top-right to generate the report.
In the Visualization Pane, choose Pie Chart as the visualization type.

You can further customize the chart by going to Edit → Series → Customizations, where you can change the colors to match your preferred palette or organizational guidelines.

By following these steps, you'll create a pie chart that gives a clear visual breakdown of the number of requests by status, making it easier to spot trends or prioritize workflow management.
