How do I create a Deals Funnel report?

How to Create a Deal Funnels Report

Tracking the progress of deals through various phases of the pipeline is essential for identifying bottlenecks, forecasting, and managing resources effectively. A funnel chart offers a clear visual representation of how deals move through each stage, highlighting the number of deals at each phase and allowing you to see where deals may be stalling or dropping off. This report will help you create a Deal Funnel, giving you insights into your pipeline's efficiency.

Visualization Example:

Steps:

From the Explore menu, select Deal Phases Info
Under the Phase option, select Name.
In the “Custom Fields” section of the Field Picker pane, click on “Add”, and choose Custom Measure.
Create a custom measure titled Num of Deals. This measure will calculate the number of deals that had been or are currently on a specific phase.

Click on Run button at the top-right to generate the data.
In the Visualization pane, choose “Funnel” as the chart type.
Optionally, apply styling adjustments:
In the Visualization pane, click Edit, then navigate to the Bars tab.
Toggle on both Smoothed Bars and Stepped Funnel options.
In the Label Scale field, input 0.8 for a more polished look.

By following these steps, you will create a funnel report that allows you to visualize the number of deals at each phase in your pipeline. This report can help identify bottlenecks or phases where deals may be getting stuck, providing valuable insights for improving your deal flow and optimizing your overall pipeline performance.
