How Do I Notify Users of New Documents Without Giving Request Access?

To do this, you’ll adjust permissions and pick the right notification option when uploading documents. In this article we'll review how to:
The process involves two key steps: adjusting permissions and selecting the correct notification option during upload.
Step 1: Restrict Request Management for Users
- Navigate to the Permissions tab in your room’s settings.
- Select the permission group assigned to your users.
- Click the Requests tab within that group’s settings.
- Scroll to the Request management section and uncheck the box next to: Manage request details, post private comments, and assign or be assigned as a reviewer, assignee, or follower.
Step 2: Notify the User Group on Upload
- Notify the user group: During the document upload process, check the option to notify the user group.
- Automatic alerts with restricted access: This sends an automatic email or notification to all desired groups, letting them know about the new document while keeping request management restricted, regardless of their notification settings.
