The only AI agent custom-built for M&A due diligence:

Enabling DealRoom's AI Analysis feature
DealRoom's AI Analysis is a powerful tool that streamlines document review and enhances your M&A workflow. Before using this feature, it must be enabled and permissions configured for the necessary users.
Step 1: Enable AI Analysis
Navigate to the Settings tab from the left menu.
Select General from the top.
Scroll down until you see the section titled "Enable DealRoom AI Analysis".
Carefully read the AI Feature Terms of Use before proceeding.
Once you’ve reviewed the terms, check the corresponding box to agree and click the Enable AI button.
Tip: Once AI Analysis is enabled, it will be available for use in all rooms across your organization. Only one Pipeline Admin is needed to enable DealRoom AI.
Step 2: Set Up Permissions for AI Analysis
By default, only room admins have access to use the AI feature. However, you can extend access to other groups in the room. Here's how to grant permissions to non-admin users:
Navigate to the Permissions tab within the room.
From the left menu, select the group you'd like to enable access for.
Click on the Other Permissions tab at the top of the screen.
Find the section titled "Grant DealRoom AI Access" and toggle the option to allow members of that group to use DealRoom AI for document analysis across the Data Room.
Accessing DealRoom's AI Analysis
You can access DealRoom’s AI through the following two methods within any room:
1. From the Data Room:
Navigate to the Data Room tab at the top.
Hover over the document and click the AI icon.
Alternatively, right click the document to open the menu with more options. Select Analyze with AI.
2. From the Document Viewer:
Go to the Data Room tab.
Click on a document to open it.
Within the document viewer, click on the AI Analysis button at the top right of the screen.
Using AI Analysis to Answer Questions About Documents:
Once the AI screen is open, select the Chat tab from the top.
Enter your question in the text box at the bottom.
Click Submit to generate a response.
Tip: Optionally, based on the accuracy of the response, click the thumbs up or thumbs down icon to help improve the AI.
To save a question, click the bookmark icon on the right. You can easily access it later by clicking the Saved Questions button at the bottom, allowing you to apply it to future documents.
Using DealRoom's AI Analysis to Create Document Summaries
DealRoom’s AI-powered document analysis tool allows you to quickly generate summaries of key information from your documents, saving time during the due diligence process. Here's how you can utilize this powerful feature to create and manage document summaries:
Once the AI screen is open, select the Summaries tab from the top.
If there is a summary that you'd like to apply, you can click the Apply button to run the AI document analysis.
To create new summaries or edit your existing ones, click the Manage Summaries button at the top right. You can also edit or revoke a summary by clicking the three-dot menu next to it.
Note: Template summaries are available in the Manage Summaries section for your convenience, allowing you to quickly apply common analysis structures to your documents.
After clicking Manage Summaries, a panel will open. Click New Summary +.
Enter a title. Please note, suggested fields are generated based on the TITLE of the Summary. For example, if you enter "Lease Agreement" for the title, the AI will suggest fields typically found in a Lease Agreement.
Click Create and customize at the bottom.
Select the fields you'd like to include in the summary by clicking the plus icon next to them.
If the field you're looking for isn't available, create a new field by clicking the Create field button at the top right.
Once you have selected or created all the desired fields, click Save.
You'll then see your new report listed. Click the blue Apply button to run it.
This may take a few moments as the AI searches the document for the answers. Once finished, the fields will populate with the relevant information.
To edit a summary, click the 3 dot button to left of the Apply button.
Note: If the AI does not pull the type of response you are looking for, please contact your CSM or support@dealroom.net to work with our Engineering team to update the AI to get the information you are looking for
Applying AI Analysis to Multiple Documents
If you need to analyze several documents at once, you can easily do so in bulk.
Open the Data Room tab.
Select the checkboxes next to the files you want to analyze.
Click the three-dot icon in the top right.
From the drop-down menu, choose Analyze with AI.
Choose the type of summary you want to apply.
Click the Apply button.
You'll then be able to find your created summaries in the AI Analysis tab in the top left corner.
Accessing All AI Summaries
Go to the Data Room tab.
Select the AI Analysis tab in the top left corner.
From the drop-down menu at the top, select the type of summary you wish to view.
Click on a summary to open it and see more details.

FAQ
Do you train the AI with customer data?
No. We don’t train generative AI with customer data.
DealRoom relies on commercially available models, such as those developed by OpenAI, as well as open-source models trained with licensed data and public domain content where copyright has expired. DealRoom may use usage data and other metadata to enhance the product experience and prioritize new development. If we intend to change our training approach, we will inform customers upfront.
Do security controls differ between the rest of the DealRoom Platform (Rooms, Pipeline) and DealRoom AI?
No, all AI-related data is kept with the same security controls as the rest of the room or pipeline information.Customer data is isolated, and once a room is deleted, all AI outputs are deleted as well.
Do you own customer data?
No. We don’t own or have access to customer data.
Can we use AI analysis on spreadsheets too?
Our AI does not support spreadsheets currently.
