Overview of the Data Room

The DealRoom Data Room is a secure, centralized platform designed to streamline due diligence and deal management. It offers a comprehensive suite of tools for organizing, sharing, and analyzing documents. See below for an overview of the key functionality available in the Data Room and Document Viewer:

Accessing the Data Room

Room Selection: From the DealRoom dashboard, select the desired room from the "Rooms" section.
Data Room Tab: Navigate to the "Data Room" tab within the selected room.

Key Features and Elements

Navigation Panel (Left Side)

AI Analysis: Leverage AI-powered tools to analyze and summarize data, such as trust summaries, and export them. Includes a dropdown for version selection and a detailed summary table.
Recent Files: Quickly access recently viewed files, filtered by keyword or upload date.
Bookmarks: Store frequently used files and folders for easy access.
Folders:
Hierarchical folder structure (Home, numbered folders) for organized document storage.
"+" button to add new folders.
Expand/collapse arrows for folder navigation.
Ellipsis button for options such as Open, Download, Bookmark, Attach to Request and more!)
Trash (Archived Files): Manage deleted files and folders with options for recovery or permanent deletion.

Main Content Area

Search Bar: Search for documents and folders.
Ellipsis Button: Access "New Request" functionality, as well as Edit index, Export index to PDF, and Export index to Excel.


Add Folder Button: Create new folders within the current directory.


Columns Button: Customize the displayed columns (Index, Title, Size, Uploaded Date, Requests, etc.).

Note: This will only adjust your Data Room view, other users will have their own view.


Download All Button: Download all files in the current folder with customizable options.


Upload Button: Upload individual files or entire folders.


Document List:
Displays files and folders with customizable columns.



Right-click menus for file and folder actions (view, download, rename, copy, move, delete, create requests, etc.).



Checkboxes for bulk actions (download, bookmark, move, copy, create requests, etc).


Requests column with tooltips to display related requests.

Overview of the Document Viewer

The document viewer in the Data Room provides a comprehensive interface for viewing, analyzing, and managing individual documents.

Top Navigation:
File path.
Document search bar.
Info, AI Analysis, and Download buttons.
Document Preview: View document content directly in the browser.
Document Information:
General information (size, pages, modification, upload).
Related requests with links.
Version history.
Redaction tool.
