How to Download Entire Rooms from DealRoom

Downloading entire rooms from DealRoom is a straightforward process that allows you to securely store and access your data offline. In this article, we will guide you through the steps to download all the files and information related to a room effectively.

Step 1: Bulk Download Files from the Data Room

To download all the files within a Data Room, follow these steps:

Navigate to the Data Room tab.
Click on the Download All button located at the top. This will initiate a bulk download of all the files in the room.

Step 2: Export the Request List

Exporting the Request list ensures that you have a comprehensive record of all the requests made within the room. Here's how you can do it:

Go to the Requests tab.
Select All worklists from the left menu to view the complete list of requests.
Click the three-dot button in the upper right corner, positioned to the left of the blue New task button.
From the drop-down menu, choose Export to Excel. This will generate an Excel file containing the request data.



Tip: Additionally, you can export all contacts from the Permissions tab and export all activity logs from Reports > Audit log for a more comprehensive data backup.

Step 3: Delete the Room (Optional)

If you no longer require the room and wish to delete all associated data, follow these steps:

Once you have completed the downloads from the Data Room and Request list, navigate to the Settings tab.
Select the General tab from the left menu.
Scroll down and locate the Delete Room button. Click on it to initiate the deletion process.



Note: Keep in mind that deleting the room will remove all data associated with it permanently. To delete the dealcard from the pipeline, reference this article.
