How do I enrich my pipeline?
Maintaining your pipeline can feel like a chore, but staying organized is key to running an efficient deal process. With pipeline data enrichment, you can enrich deal data instantly. That means less manual entry, fewer errors, and more context for your team to move quickly.
In this article, we’ll cover:
- Data Enrichment Overview
- How to Enable the Integration
- Using Data Enrichment in Your Daily Workflow
- Available Apollo Fields
Data Enrichment Overview
Created through an integration with Apollo, this new feature enables automatic enrichment of company data in your M&A pipeline. By matching fields between DealRoom and Apollo, users can instantly populate key details—like industry, employee count, revenue, funding stage, website, and more—using the company’s domain as the identifier.
You can enrich data in three ways:
- Single deal enrichment via a new deal card: Automatically fill in company details when creating a new deal.
- Update an Existing deal: go into a deal card and manually push enrichment.
- Bulk enrichment: Update multiple deals simultaneously from organization settings.
This feature eliminates manual data entry, improves data accuracy, and ensures your team always has the most up-to-date information to drive deal execution.
How to Enable the Integration
- Log into the platform and go to Pipeline settings, and in the upper navigation, select Data Enrichment.
- Once you select Data Enrichment, you’ll see the option to Configure.
- Click Configure. A menu will slide out from the left side of your screen. Here, you’ll be prompted to map fields from your Deal Card to Apollo. It’s important to map all the fields you want enriched—any unmapped fields will be ignored by Apollo.
- Map your fields. In the left-hand column, you’ll see your existing Deal Card fields. In the right-hand column, use the dropdown menus to select the matching Apollo fields. For example, your field may be titled "Website," but Apollo may refer to it as "Website URL." To see all of the available Apollo fields, scroll to the bottom of the page.
- Click Save once all fields are mapped. From there you are ready to enrich your pipeline.
Using Data Enrichment in Your Daily Workflow
There are three ways to enrich data within your pipeline. This section will walk you through how to do each one.
- Enrich via a new deal: You can do this by navigating to New Deal within the pipeline. With data enrichment enabled, it will automatically help populate company profile details once you select a company.
- Update an Existing deal: Click the three ellipses in the upper navigation of the Deal Card. From the dropdown menu, select Enrich Record.
- Bulk enrichment: Update multiple deals simultaneously from organization settings.
- To update your pipeline, go to Pipeline Settings > Data Enrichment and select Bulk Enrich.
- A menu will expand from the right—choose to fill blank fields or replace existing data with Apollo values, then click Start Bulk Enrichment.
- A green banner will appear at the bottom of the page to confirm the enrichment was successful.
