Note: You need to be an admin to import a request list with a Folder structure

Tip: The request list needs to be in the correct format for import (templates available)

1. Importing a Request List:

If you only want to add a request list to a room or add additional lists to an existing room, follow these steps:

From the room's interface, navigate to the Requests tab at the top left.
In the upper-right section of the Requests view, click on the Ellipsis button (located to the right of 'Filters' and before the 'New request' button). A drop-down menu will appear.
Select Import.
In the pop-up window, click on Download template to obtain the template file.
Open the template and format your request list accordingly. To ensure proper import, keep the top two rows as they are in the template. Copy and paste the requests you wish to import in the rows below. Save the file when you're done.
Once your request list is correctly formatted using the template, return to the import window and click on Browse computer. Choose the file you formatted, and then proceed by clicking Import. The imported list will now appear on the left-hand side of the room.

2. Importing a Request List with Folder Structure

Tip: This method is available only for admins and is ideal if you want to import both a list and a folder structure for the data room tab simultaneously. This approach is highly recommended as it allows you to build a request list that directly mirrors your data room organization, significantly enhancing efficiency during due diligence. If you're starting with a blank room, we recommend using this method.

Go to your room's Settings tab in the upper-right corner.
Select Room import and export from the left menu.
Click the Download the blank template option to download the template file.
Open the template file and format your folders and requests according to the provided guidelines. Use the first tab, _folders, to build your Data Room structure. Then rename the second tab, worklist 1, to your preferred title and add your requests using the required format. Return to Settings > Room template and click on Choose file to upload your correctly formatted template.
Tip: The Export this room button on Settings > Room template can be used to export the room's structure, including folder structure and all lists, in the correct format for importing into another room. This is particularly useful for creating standardized templates where your request lists are perfectly aligned with your data room categories.
