How do I set pipeline permissions?

How to Set Pipeline Access and Permissions

The pipeline in DealRoom is a feature that gives a high-level of deals and prospects in your pipeline. Admins are able to set the criteria of which deals are visible in a pipeline for permission set with pipeline access.

To grant pipeline access or modify permissions, follow these steps:
Go to the Settings tab in the left menu.
Click on Pipeline Access at the top.
You'll then be able to view the members who have access and the groups they belong to.

Note: Only Adminstrators of the pipeline will be able to see these options.

To create a new group, click the New + button.
A dialog box will appear. Enter the group name and configure the settings for precise permission control.

Tip: Super Admin access will give them access to both the pipeline and all the rooms on the platform. As a Super Admin, you have the option to add yourself to any room.

Deals with admin access to corresponding rooms: This allows the group to view only cards and rooms where they hold admin roles inside of that room.
Deals matching the following criteria: This grants access to view deals based on tailored criteria (e.g., status, country, deal type), however an admin still has to personally invite you into the room. Criteria is based off of the pipeline Phases and Deal Custom fields. Customize criteria in the Settings tab under Custom Fields and Phases. Please note: Only SELECT type custom fields can be used as a criteria.
- Example: If you have a team member based in Europe, you can give them access to view geo-specific deals in Europe.

Adding Members to Groups on the Pipeline

Navigate to the Pipeline tab from the left menu.
Select the Pipeline Access tab from the top.
In the top right, click the blue Invite member button.

A pop-up window will appear. Enter the user's email and select which permission group you'd like them to be a part of.
Specify whether you want to give them BI Editor or BI Viewer access, or disable this entirely.
Bi Editor: This will allow the user to create and edit BI reports in the Reports tab.
Bi Viewer: This will allow the user to view BI Reports in the Reports tab.
Click Create.

Note: Your subscription dictates the number of BI Editors and BI Viewers. To adjust this allocation, contact our support team at support@dealroom.net.

Moving or Removing Members From the Pipeline

Click on the member's name to open a pop-up window.
From the permission set drop-down menu, select a new group for them.
To remove a member, simply click the Remove from Pipeline button.
