How do I create a request?

The Data Room is your centralized space for securely storing and managing documents, while Requests act as your project management hub—helping you streamline Q&A, assign tasks, track progress, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Requests can be used to collect information, delegate responsibilities, or facilitate internal and external collaboration. In this article, we’ll walk through how to create and manage a request to help you get the most out of this feature.


To create a request, follow these steps:

  • Go to the Requests tab at the top of the room.
  • Click the New Request button in the top right corner.
  • Fill out the request form by selecting a worklist, adding a title, attaching documents, setting start and due dates, and any other relevant details.
  • Click Create to save the request.


Note: If the New Request button is not visible, you may not have the necessary permissions to create new requests. Please contact an admin to adjust your permissions.

Once created, the request will appear in the selected worklist with the next available ID number. If you need to reset the ID numbers of requests in your room, follow the steps in this article: How do I reset the ID number on a request?
