How do I use dependencies? Are there notifications when a dependent task is complete?

How to Create Dependencies

Dependencies allow you to establish relationships between tasks, ensuring that certain tasks cannot be marked as resolved until their dependent tasks are completed.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to create dependencies:
Open the task to which you want to add a dependent task.
Next to the Dependencies section, click on the plus sign, as shown below. You can then search for the dependent task or choose it from the available lists/categories.

Once a dependent task is added, the task cannot be marked as resolved until the dependent task is also resolved. In the screenshot below, you'll see a reminder indicating that a dependency is required to resolve the task, and the "Resolved" option is greyed out. i.e. Dependency required to resolve this request.

Notifications for Completed Dependent Tasks

When all dependent tasks are resolved, both the assignee and followers of the task will receive an email notification similar to the one below:

All dependencies of #29 Product Descriptions have been finished. Now it is available for completion.

Additionally, the ID number of the dependent tasks will be displayed in green, indicating that they are complete, and you will be able to modify the task status.
